On Sunday, November 3, the San Mateo County History Museum will host a vibrant Día de los Muertos celebration in collaboration with Casa Círculo Cultural and the Parks and Arts Foundation. The museum’s Courthouse Square will be transformed with traditional decorations—sugar skulls, marigolds, and lights. From 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., enjoy live performances by dancers, artists, and musicians.
Inside the museum, free admission from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. will allow visitors to explore crafts, view the Festival of the Altars, and participate in making papel picado, calavera decorations, and paper flowers. The Festival of the Altars will continue through Friday, November 8, with free admission on that final day.
This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditions of Día de los Muertos and honor loved ones in a community setting.
