Full Of It! | April 2025

Full Of It! | April 2025

Dear Friends,

It’s already April and I’m just now sharing my word for the year. It’s taken some time to sink in as to whether or not this word was really for me.

My word for 2025 is "Fullness." When I think about the word fullness and why I believe this is the word God gave me for this year, it’s because, I believe, I’m meant to live into the fullness of life that’s meant for me. Actually, I think that I’m at a season in my life where I’m ready to embrace what that actually means for me.

For so many years of my life, I lived just to survive. I didn't really know what it meant to have a full life or that I deserved to live that kind of life. It’s funny how life experiences influence the way we perceive life should be lived.

Recently I was putting together content for my coaching clients that had me reflecting on our company's Mission & Vision statements. As I was sifting through pictures to include in my presentation I was struck by how incredibly FULL my life has actually already been.

Part of our Mission is to "create authentic, long lasting" relationships, and part of our Vision is to create a "ripple effect of generosity that ignites a global movement of paying it forward." As altruistic as that sounds, it is, truly, my heart's desire.

So, I'm sifting through the pictures which are recalling memories that elicit feelings of fondness, love and overwhelming gratitude. How have I overlooked the fullness that life has already gifted me? Now I am feeling incredibly humbled by the thought that "Fullness" is my word for the year. Genuinely, what more can I ever ask or hope for?

I have a confession to make ... before I started my career in real estate I was told repeatedly that I was good at sales. Well, I didn't want to be good at sales. I, actually, prayed to God (I pleaded with Him really) to make me good at something else. I distinctly remember Him telling me that He was going to show me how to do sales His way - and it was all about cultivating relationships. I trusted Him so I moved forward in faith.

Now, over 20 years later, I look back and many of my clients have, genuinely, become my friends, my community. You all have allowed me in your lives beyond the transaction. You have shared life with me. I have been invited to milestone birthday parties, anniversaries and even been invited to hospital rooms to pray with you & your families. You have joined me & my family for holidays and outings and, in turn, you have invited my family to vacation with you! YOU have allowed us to realize our Mission in cultivating authentic, long lasting relationships

In addition, you all have joined us in our efforts to bless the under-resourced in our community and those who are less fortunate. You have linked arms with us to donate your time and resources to help us support initiatives ranging from backpack drives, beautification projects, Christmas gift drives for foster children and under resourced families, adopt a family in need, volunteer in after school reading programs, packing food for those experiencing food insecurity in our community & around the world, to even joining us to donate blood, just to name a few. YOU are part of the ripple effect of generosity that demonstrates compassion, love and, our hope, lasting positive change in our community.

There are no words to express my gratitude. Real Estate is not an easy business. There are so many intricate dynamics & details that we deal with on a daily basis. It is a business in which we do not know when or where our next deal is coming from. We lean on the personal standards and processes we put in place for ourselves to build a viable business and to deliver a service that makes people feel cared for and delivers your expected outcome. In order to be sustainable, it is our hope that the way we do business results in repeat & referral business.

For me, real estate has been all of those things. However, the most meaningful thing that real estate has given me is perspective. Real estate has given me community and life long friends. Real estate, as unpredictable and challenging as it can be, for me, has given me the richest relationships and the most rewarding experiences in life that transcends business.

As I navigate through the remainder of 2025, I am excited about what God has planned for me around the word "Fullness." How about you? What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year? I'd love to hear what your word of the year is!

Yours in Humble Fullness,

Rica
